He also grew up dreaming of doing old fashioned radio shows like the Shadow and the Red Skelton Show, voicing cartoons like Looney Toons, and creating beautiful and innovative worlds like all of Jim Henson’s work.
After high school, Troy decided that he would just do community theatre and "work" wherever he could, taking jobs as a server, cook, manager, tour guide telling ghost stories, housekeeper, security guard, carriage driver, and so many other things to just survive. He found that the love for acting and directing never left him and community theater didn't satisfy his itch, enough. So Troy started doing talent shows as the Emcee Lord Troy, a sharp tongued macabre character. He then started making all kinds of fun and zany characters like Granny LuLu, Sensei Wonton the Kung Fu Master, Le Pew the French Chef, and a retired Elvis.
The more he did the more he hungered for. So after years of being a Renaissance Man, he decided to go for the gold, particularly after the nudging of his loving wife. She convinced him to follow his dreams. Life without chance isn't worth living. So they began their journey. From Savannah, Ga to New Jersey and all over the the world.
Deciding it was time to hone what he had learned Troy started Georgia College and State University. Under the tutledge of Karen Berman, Amy Pinney, Eric Griffis, and Beate Czagolla Troy started building his stage and film endeavors. Performing and Designing in international touring plays and entering Indy film festivals.
Entertaining is his love and dream and so that is where he will be in some form of acting, directing, costuming, puppet building, whether it is voice over, producing or whatever. He has found that it truly complimented the soul.
"In a theatre everyone laughs, cries and cheers together, no matter their race, religion, or politics."
